Ego Dissolution

 

“To try to escape or get rid of ego is many times a reactivity of the super-ego. The most beneficial way to move through the fact that one cannot escape one’s egoic tendencies is to continue to look, sense, and feel into what occurs in the body-mind when you react. Continuing to see the ego and its reactions without another reaction overlayed on top, allows for a genuine exploration. When exploring your reactions in this way, you may sense burning, discomfort, and tensions of all sorts. Welcome these sensations and allow them to develop. This process is the beginning of the breaking down and the dissolution of egoic reactions. Softening around contraction, becoming relaxed in our tensions, and finding comfort in the discomfort will help us digest the content of our egoic make up. In this way we’re not only processing outdated and automatic modes of being in ourselves and the world but we are making room for the freshness, naturalness and goodness of our True Nature to arise.”
