Bottomless Mystery

Press down on me,

That I may feel

All the things

I cannot explain

Weighted, heavy

On my body.

Find the deepest

Caverns of my being,

Touch every edge in me;

All these walls

Were made to wait

For Your arrival.

O, how my being crumbles,

How I tremble,

Both in horror

And unbounded joy

As You enter into these

Unseen spaces,

Undisclosed.

Your touch

Breaks down ore,

Breathes uninterrupted

Space into

The hardened stone

Of any kind of knowing.

Here, where I’ve

Reached the limits

Of what my Soul

Imagines itself to be,

You press into me.

Density and space,

Time, eternity,

Joy and sorrow

Melt into each other.

You leave me speechless,

Brainless, faceless…

Bottomless

In Your eternal glow.
